RpDoc^® is a computer program for electronic prescription support. When the prescription is prepared the program checks the prescribed medication to ensure that it conforms with accepted prescribing rules and provides feedback to enable the physician to correct any mistakes before they affect the patient.

Basic medication data are taken from the ABDATA database.

RpDoc^® checks your prescription for:

• contraindications and allergies
• indication-specific dosage and frequency of administration
• adjustment of dosage for age, sex, renal function
• administration during pregnancy and breast-feeding
• clinically relevant interactions (checking the dosage)
• side effects
• cost-efficient prescribing

 
We have developed two programs to meet the requirements of different groups of users:

• RpDoc^® Praxis for general practitioners
• RpDoc^® Clinic for acute-care and rehabilitation hospitals (incl. hospital pharmacies) and aged-care homes
